Learning Community holds M&E workshop in Malawi
In October, the MACEPA Learning Community hosted a forum on the monitoring and evaluation of malaria at the community level. The forum, held in Malawi, brought together M&E specialists and malaria control program managers to share lessons learned and benchmark performance in establishing community-based M&E systems that are linked to national M&E efforts. Participants addressed incentives and roles of some specific tools such as health registers available at the community level, the diversity of personnel structures, and performance-based approaches that can motivate communities to take responsibility for malaria control.
